Located on a coastal corner in Coledale, this property hosts uninterrupted views to the ocean. The garden is dotted with mature Norfolk Island Pines, creating shady micro-climates which allowed for diversity in our planting palette. To mirror the hilly landscape, garden beds offer an undulation of canopy, shrub, feature plants, and a range of native ground covers.
We created tiered garden beds on the sloping banks, with unique stone sculptures as a focal point, which wrapped around the whole property. A large element of plant selection was the consideration of just how exposed this garden is to the salt-laden winds from all directions. In response to the exposure to natures tough elements, we selected hardy plants that differ in colour, shape, and growth habit, to deliver a garden packed with contrast.
