COMPLETED 2023

PALMYRA PROJECT

What was once a home surrounded by lawn, is now a thriving garden that naturally facades the home, and provides habitat for local fauna. Harsh sun exposure inspired a fusion of utilising existing cacti varieties with native flora. A key component of our brief was to create an area that allowed for interaction with the garden. The placement of the outdoor setting sits at the top of the garden, giving full view to the variety of natural textures within the landscape. Carved stones hold water for bees and local fauna visitors, while stone and rock materials welcome local lizards to bake in the sun. The contrast of hard and soft plant structures keeps the garden feeling resilient and alive.
