We were engaged to create a garden where this young family could have a place of retreat from their busy lifestyle.
This architecturally designed home features a black panelled facade, which was the perfect backdrop for the fine silvery leaves of our native plant palette.
Our design approach embraces a kid-friendly space with no compromises on aesthetics. A striking feature in this garden is the outdoor shower; with streamline copper pipes and tap-wear, aged timber columns for privacy, and surrounding stones to capture the sound of water when rinsing off after a surf.
We chose ornamental gum trees as feature plants, to contrast the stark facade, and draw your eye through each element in the garden. To compliment the beautiful tapestry of texture, we added long flowing grasses, low-maintenance ground covers, and colourful flowering shrubs.
